DEPCO has revamped the well-known CHEC Systems program for Family and Consumer Science programs. DEPCO updated and replaced CHEC’s Discovery Series program with the newly designed, Ready 4 Careers. The Ready 4 Careers is a modular-based, hands-on career exploration program designed for the 5th through 8th grade levels. It helps students to explore career options and assists with school-to-work career goals. In addition, basic and essential living skills are taught and reinforced. The Ready 4 Careers modular lesson plan may be used as either nine 10-day modules that cover 4 career per modules or as thirty-six 2-day modules that cover 1 career per modules to allow maximize flexibility to your program. Improving upon a great program, DEPCO revamped CHEC’s Life Management Program with the new Ready 4 Life Program. The new system is fully compatible with all of DEPCO's other programs affording the instructor to customize their program to meet their school’s unique needs and budgetary restraints. Ready 4 Life Curriculum Frameworks have each module containing fifteen activities, which ten are primary lessons and five are enrichment-related. The Ready 4 Life program offers over 14 modules.
